If you are unsure about going down the vintage route but still desire a classically styled watch with some added modern accouterments, this Carrera should be in your sights! Although slightly larger than its forefathers, this piece retains the traditional Carrera case shape as a modernized interpretation of the classic. It features a sapphire display caseback, a white guilloche dial with applied blue indices and a matching blue sword handset, a signed crown, and comes paired to a navy blue alligator leather strap with a signed stainless steel pin buckle. While first-generation Carreras were manually-wound, this iteration from circa the 2010s is powered by the automatic TAG Heuer Calibre 6 movement and features a 39mm stainless steel case. And while original models were racing-inspired chronographs, the modern product line is far more diverse. Jack wanted a watch that was stylish and functional - a watch that gives you everything you need and nothing you don’t. The Carrera was one of Jack Heuer’s most passionate horological projects, the design ethos for which can be summed up in one word: legibility.
